Hierarchy principle is a rank or order of importance of various spaces that occurs when there is one form that is emphasized in an organization of shapes. There are three ways to achieve that such as by changing the size, shape and placement. Thus we can explore more towards hierarchy principle by applying some rules such as cut, extrude, mirror, shift on an axis and then add a third element then have colour and pattern. (Ching 2015)
